ABOUT THE SOCIETY

 

Welcome to the ST BEGHIAN SOCIETY founded in 1908 as the organisation dedicated to former pupils of St Bees School.


The Society supports the School and provides a forum for members to keep in touch through
the website, Facebook, Instagram, Bulletins, Newsletters and other relevant mailings.


Dinners and Lunches at various venues around the country, along with other informal social events
are organised for the benefit of Society Members.


The biannual OSB Bulletin ('The Old St Beghian') is produced in January and July and contains news of former pupils,
together with sporting reports, the Headmaster’s School update and Society event information.


In addition, the newly created biannual OSB Newsletter, distributed online in Spring (April) and Autumn (October),
provides accessible, regular, current news in a bitesize interactive format.

The OSBGS (Old St Beghians' Golfing Society) enters teams into a range of national tournaments and also holds various social events for members to enjoy. If any Old St Beghian golfers are interested in joining the Golfing Society
