REX VINYCOMB (SH 39-42)
has sent an update as follows:

“Here are some brief details of my movements since I left St. Bees.
I graduated from the University of Durham with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and after 16 years in various jobs in Britain, and a year on a Fellowship in the U.S.A, was appointed a senior engineer in the Australian Public Service and so came to Adelaide, South Australia.
Later, I moved to Melbourne and subsequently joined the academic staff of RMIT University, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Melbourne.
I retired in 1992 and am now involved in various voluntary capacities locally.  My wife, Anne, whom I married in 1948, qualified as a teacher in Australia. Together we had 5 children (adults now) all currently residing in various parts of Australia, but we are in contact with them all and our 11 grandchildren. We look back on our lives, careers and retirement with much satisfaction.”
