St Beghian Society – Careers Forum
We are keen to strengthen the links between the St Beghian Society and the school and in particular, explore ways in which OSBs can offer professional help to students in terms of advice, talks, mentoring or even placements, internships or jobs. This sharing of knowledge and opportunities would also be of relevance between OSBs within the St Beghian Society membership.
In the past, the school has run a series of career-themed assemblies/talks to which OSBs and others have been invited to speak, plus a careers week. Currently, the work-experience week in the summer term is available to Year 11, Pre-A, 12 and 13 and, in addition, some students are often keen to take part in internships during the holidays. We would be interested to hear from any OSBs who feel they could contribute to these events, by offering help, advice, or opportunities to current school students. If you would like further information about the school’s work-experience programme, please contact Konrad Hansen at Konrad.Hansen@stbeesschool.co.uk.
In order to achieve the above, we are hoping to update and develop the Virtual Careers Forum information we hold, which was initiated by Don Williams several years ago.
If you feel you could help current students or other OSB members, by offering some professional advice, mentoring or even placements, internships and job opportunities, we would love to hear from you.
