From Helen Gascoyne, Marketing Director:
          It has been a busy year for the Marketing Department 
            to date. We have attended agents’ fairs in Bulgaria, Dubai, 
            Brazil, Hong Kong and China, Turkey, India and London. This investment 
            has been made in order to establish ourselves in a new set of markets 
            and to sign up with agents who will be sending pupils to the International 
            Centre and into the senior school. Of course we shall be maintaining 
            links with existing contacts as well.
            Our new website is proving to be the most popular way for prospective 
            parents and pupils to familiarise themselves with the school and to 
            make the first contact with us. We are regularly getting 3,000 hits 
            from around the world each month and are excited to report that a 
            number of these enquiries are already turning into pupils registering 
            to attend St. Bees.
            We have several events planned for the local young children in order 
            to encourage more pupils to join the Prep. Department and Year 7 in 
            September, and I am pleased to say that the numbers on the roll for 
            these are on the increase.
            Plans are progressing well for the Autumn Ball and we look forward 
            to hosting several tables for past pupils at what should be a fantastic 
            event.
